Claiming Stanford!!! My top dream school!! A committee member gave me a zoom call to announce the decision.

Why can't the rest of the schools release their results sooner this week? What's taking them so long... It's weird that some schools really like to play a long waiting game...

I think UT Austin was among the earliest schools that released results. I heard back on Jan 18 or so. I am not sure if they released all the results (including rejections) to everyone, but my portal has certainly been updated. I feel like you should try to speak to the department directly. Hope things are going well for you!

Did anyone admitted to Princeton also receive the working opportunity at Bobst center for peace and justice in your package? I wonder if it is an obligation or an extra research opportunity for certain subfield.

The political science department at Princeton is called politics. So search Princeton/politics you will see some results.

Anyone received the email to check portal from Princeton? Someone posted rejection on the result page but I haven't heard anything, nor did the portal change.

I received the funding information yesterday. Looking forward to better offers though.

Don't worry too much about the interviews. They might have finished all the interviews but not every field/faculty interviews applicants. One of my POIs reached out to me without any interview.

I also saw several acceptances in the result page but no one claiming it in the forum? Wondering if they sent out all the offers at the same time. Also, it is pretty early for Princeton to release the results at this time.

Honestly, I don't think showing up to those would make a huge difference. I also received similar marketing emails shortly after I submitted applications, but didn't take them seriously. I think interviews would matter; other than that, schools make decisions based on your application materials. And also lots of schools don't do interviews at all. So just relax and I believe there will be good results coming out within one or two weeks!

I am in CP field, quant focused, and I mentioned my formal modeling skills in my application materials. I think some schools also welcome non-quant applicants but they mostly do hybrid methods (i.e., Northwestern). Hope this piece of information helps...
