Thank you! This is so encouraging. Yes, I did mention AI in my SOP but didn't talk a lot about it as this is the emerging area I'd like to explore more. My previous and current experiences do not focus on AI.

No funding for part time so I will more than likely decline. It seems you can try and get funding through your advisor or loans or fellowships but those definitely wouldn't cover tuition. I know they fully fund full time PhD students but they only have a few spots for those. I have other options though thank goodness!

Hi selah,
I think in this case, probably steinhardt processes apps at different paces for different concentrations within Teaching and Learning program. We have two fellows above who are in the same concentration of science and environmental education received interview notifications at the same time. I think we may just wait and see if there's any further update for us in other concentrations!

Congrats on the progress of your app! It's a bit weird that the admission office emails me that there would not be any interview for the program tho (not sure if this works for every concentration. I applied to literacy education). Good luck to your interview!

Definitely makes sense. When I spoke to the Stanford GSE they said they received thousands more applications probably because of HGSE not accepting apps! I'll just keep my fingers crossed and bide my time til March (that's so long T_T)!!

Thank you so much! I didn’t get interviewed either. My POI emailed me that they received many applications this year and the program is too small. They have to match applicants to multiple faculty. I hope you can get acceptance from another school you like too!:)

Thank you Anthony for the important information! Yeah I can expect rejection but it’s fine for me to just wait to see the specific final decision coming out. Also, could you please share with me your GRE scores? (If you’re willing to do so) I sort of fee that mine were far from competitive and I may set a goal for my next round application with reference to successful applicants like you:).
Also, if you know, could you please share how many applicants are invited to the interview in the RWL program? Thank you!

I think they might indeed receive an influx of applications this year. I just got rejected from BU, and my POI emailed me that they received many more applications this year than before. I guess it may be because some programs, like HGSE, are not accepting applications for Fall 2021, which results in a more intensive and competitive admission process for the rest of programs that are still opening.

When did you get interviewed by POI? Earlier or later then the Doctoral weekend? I also talked to my POI but ended up without being invited to the event. I think you did a fantastic job! You got an ad from your dream school anyways! Cheer up and don't feel sad:).
