I finally woke up the email I was hoping for. Officially accepted into my dream program!!! This is absolutely crazy. Best of luck to all as you’re still waiting to hear decisions!

It’s a new week. Hoping everyone gets great news this week! Still waiting to hear from one last school!

And another one gone, and another one gone, another week gone without a final decision. ?

Honestly, the worst part about the weekend nowadays is knowing you won’t hear from a school for two whole days. This process needs to be over!!

I have come to the conclusion that the worst part of applying to graduate programs isn’t all the personal statements and essays that need to be written, isn’t studying or taking the GRE, isn’t researching specific programs, but is the waiting period after an interview.

Completely understand! It’s so frustrating that people don’t understand how competitive it is to get into a doctorate program in psychology compared to other graduate programs. I think it was just a bad year to apply due to Covid, the waiving of the GRE’s, and the amount of applicants. So grateful for this community where we can relate to one another and vent our grievances. Chin up!

I interviewed on Monday and they said around March 15 is when people will start hearing things

I just talked to someone in the master’s forensic program and they said acceptances will be sent out tomorrow for the psych programs!

Who is your PI?

On the results page, a couple people have gotten accepted into Nova but when I interviewed yesterday, they said that they won’t be starting to send out final decisions until March... so I’m confused

Okay, good. I overthink everything!!

So what does it mean when the faculty members you sent a thank you email to don’t respond? Lol

I’m reading this blog I found online where professors are sharing outrageous responses they have received from applicants during the interview and this one is my favorite - why do you want to go to ___? “It is the only school I can drive to” ???‍♀️

To those who interviewed for the clinical psychology programs with Nova yesterday, what were questions they asked you? I’m trying to prepare for my interview on Monday!

To those who interviewed for either the PsyD/PhD programs with Nova today how was the interview? Would love information for my interview next Monday!

Thanks for the information! Do they make you write a statement during the interview? I have no idea what to write!! Lol. It does suck that psyd programs rarely offer any funding. I applied to 13 programs and this was the only school where I received an interview invite so I don’t have much of a choice!

I honestly have no idea. I reached out to admissions this week and they mentioned that final interviews were being sent out this week. They may be sending more tomorrow but I honestly don’t know
