  1. Anyone heard from UMass Amherst? I saw some results posted already.
  2. No! that's interesting! I received my admission envelope from UMaine and I decided to accept their offer.
  3. Hi there, You are invited to a Zoom meeting. When: Feb 23, 2021 06:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada) Register in advance for this meeting: https://psu.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAlc-iurz4iH9wK8JXEy4qRCh6OI5-VSvak After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
  4. Well, I hope you are feeling better now since at least you know the result. And this is good for your next planning. These programs are always trying to maximize their interest and get the best "student pool" they need for their own purposes. Mostly because they know they have the power to accept or reject you, these people only care about them and that is quite universal.
  5. I didn't expect that neither. And this is just not making any sense.
  6. I am waiting for USC as well, but I couldn't find any phone number. All you have is a form and you fill it. If you have any director or contact number or email, I would like to call.
  7. I asked the University of Oregon about the application status, they told me "the program’s final admissions decisions will be made by June." ......
  8. For those who applied to Penn State and University of Nebraska-Lincoln (PhD programs in Communication) and are still waiting their decisions: I called them this morning, and Penn State will release their decisions "in the next week or two"; University of Nebraska-Lincoln next week. I hope NJGrad2025 heard some good news this morning! Fingers crossed!!
  9. Sure! So glad this is helpful! I hope good news are on the way for every one! Here is the Zoom meeting registration for next Tuesday night at 6 pm (EST): https://psu.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAlc-iurz4iH9wK8JXEy4qRCh6OI5-VSvak
  10. Hi Y'all! I know we are all pretty nervous recently during this application season. Although I am not sure if this is a good idea, I plan to host a short Zoom hangout "COMM DOWN" for people who are currently waiting for their program decisions and feeling stressed. I plan to have this event tonight at 6 pm (EST) and here is the registration link: https://psu.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJUodOqorj0vH9bk6TZ7demzy4lGVbruNRqy Feel free to share it to people you think who might be interested. If no one registered by the time the meeting starts, I won't start the meeting anyway. However, through this hangout, I hope we will feel more hopeful. Also, I will encourage people to have their videos on just in case we have no Zoom bombers and make sure our conversations are within the group.
  11. Well, I don't know how to interpret this, but it says "Since your position on the waitlist is related to your background and interests, you are essentially first in line for the next funded spot in your area of interest."
  12. Congrats! I was informed through email last night too, being accepted to NC State, bur waitlisted for funding.
  13. Thanks for sharing, and hope you will hear from good news from these 4 programs!!
  14. That's awesome! Did Maine tell you when to make your decision? I was told "as soon as possible," but I am afraid it will still take me a while.
  15. I think Upenn usually send out their decision on Valentines Day or the next day. Fingers crossed for all!
  16. Congrats! I applied Boulder too. Still waiting. Where else did you get accepted, if you don't mind to share. Thanks!
  17. Congrats! You must be amazing! Hard to believe that having two interview and didn't get Cornell's offer. Did you get the funding from Temple? Or have you hear from them about funding. I was accepted to Temple as well but still waiting for their fundings. So far, I think they granted a lot of offers but I am afraid that they won't be able to fund them all.
