Does anyone know anything about the likelihood and/or timeline of getting off major schools waitlists? (e.g. Columbia)

I was deciding between them as well as ended up going with Northwestern! I feel like since the program is shorter and it's way cheaper to live in Chicago, I feel like saving that money is a big deal. I also feel like Northwestern has really tried hard to connect with students and the professors have been more readily available to answer questions and connect with. Also with the money you save, you could move to NYC after you finish! But I think they're both great programs so you couldn't go wrong either way.

So where is everyone going!! Has anyone made a decision yet?

I was accepted during the first round of Medill acceptances and they called me around 3:30pm CT on a Friday! I don't know if they'll do something similar for the second and third rounds but if it makes anybody feel better if they don't call today I wouldn't stress ?

Does anyone know anything about when Columbia will be releasing decisions other than just "mid-March"? I saw in previous years people emailed and they gave them a better time frame but I'm too nervous to email myself. Last year the day the released decisions was Thursday the 12th so if they do it the same way we might find out tomorrrow?

I saw that the ones who got the call last week got some kind of scholarship and she told me on the phone that as of right now I didn't get any, so I think she may still be calling people it will just mean no scholarship. I wouldn't worry quite yet!

Does anyone know what it might mean if we haven't gotten a call from NYU yet? I applied for the magazine/digital writing specialization and I saw that they were calling kind of sporadically but now I'm getting worried since I haven't received a call.

I hate how everyone seems to be notifying people on a random/rolling basis I just wanna know!!!!!

Okay, that makes me feel better. I guess they're just taking longer for certain specializations

Has anyone who applied for the multimedia specialization at UC Berkeley heard back?? I see some documentary and narrative writing people have, but I'm not sure about multimedia. Not hearing back yet is killing me! I wish they would've just let everyone know the same day lol

So did they just send you an email saying sorry you weren't awarded anything? I still haven't received anything and don't know why

Has anyone heard back about scholarships from Medill? I had emailed the financial aid office earlier this week and she said anyone receiving a scholarship would hear back today. I'm just wondering when they'll send the emails out.

My interview is Friday! Any insight would be helpful :-)
