I’m on the waitlist at South Carolina. They have made all offers.

UTD has a good reputation. Depends on your goal. If you have publications and an R1 degree you will get interviews at R1 schools. UTD just placed students at Iowa and Notre Dame. Notre Dame is almost as good as it gets but if you want an Ivy job you better go to that caliber of a program. Check out the Management PhD job market google doc for recent job placement info.

Not BC but I assume they have made offers. I thought BU offered some strategy already.

None. Though I am in a different position. I am currently in a PhD program and transferring is not looked upon highly (programs that admitted me in 2019 told me they wouldn't even consider me now). I initially applied to 20 programs and got into 7. Due to personal reasons I chose one based on geography. I am no longer constrained by those reasons and thought I would try again. Looks like I will strike out this time.

I know that UTD has at least contacted initial candidates.
