Hello, I am currently waiting for an appointment to become available at the US Embassy in London for my visa application. I was wondering if anyone who is going to the US for Fall 2021 has any knowledge on how this is progressing. I would like to speak with someone in a similar position to share our mutual support during a tense experience. Thanks

I have been waitlisted at two unis: Miami and UC San Diego. I am doing Latin American history. Does anyone know if people usually apply to UCSD and Miami as a back up to top 20 unis? Therefore, making it likely that someone might accept an offer elsewhere? I have resigned myself to accept that it is highly unlikely that the students with offers have more than one offer during a year of reduced spaces. But I thought I would check if anyone had any forecasts/thoughts.

I received an email telling me I was likely to get funding. Turns out that email actually means I am on the waitlist. I think they are slowly responding to people. Every other uni that has rejected me (all of them) first sent acceptances and some took up to 3 weeks to give me my rejection.

I saw a post in the decisions section from someone doing Middle Eastern History at UCSD. Regarding funding, I think we are in the same position. Could you DM me to help me get some clarity on my email (and anyone else who knows how the UCSD funding works)? Thanks

Has anyone here heard back from UC San Diego? I saw two notices in the results page.

I see Notre Dame acceptances went out for those interviewed. Would anyone like to share their field? And has anyone received a rejection after interviewing?
