  1. I'm interested in doing a ThM at either Princeton Seminary, Yale ("STM") or Duke. Does anyone know if there is any funding available for these programs? I know that all of these schools provide funding at the MDiv level, but I haven't heard any information about funding for the ThM.
  2. Does anyone know how difficult it is to get in to the MPhil in Theology at Oxford (after having completed an MDiv)? How about the Mst in Theology?
  3. I haven't been able to find the information anywhere online. We may have to call them or email to find out. Do you have any idea how they notify people? (as in by phone only, or is it on the website or by mail?)
  4. Pardon my ignorance, but what is OPUS? I've heard a few people mention that before on here.
  5. Does anyone know when they announce admissions decisions for Duke MDiv?
  6. Does anyone know when we should expect to hear back from Duke?
  7. I would love it if there were some way to fast forward a few weeks so that I woudn't have to endure the anxiety of waiting for admissions decisions. Does anyone have any tips for making the time pass? It kind of reminds me of that episode of South Park where Cartman tries to cryogenically freeze himself in snow so that he won't have to wait any longer for a video game to come out in a month. (Yes go ahead and judge me for watching South Park. I deserve it and you know you want to anyway! )
  8. Ha! Just remember that "mainstream" at places like Vanderbilt and Emory is better than being at the very top of other places.
  9. I see. Thanks! This wait is driving me insane. I've heard that most schools don't start sending out their mainstream acceptance letters until the first week of March, but I could be wrong about that.
  10. For those talking about Vanderbilt: Are you guys worried that you weren't accepted to the program at all, or that you won't receive the funding that you had hoped for? I'm waiting on acceptance from Vandy as well, so you have got me worried. Also what programs are you all applying to? MTS or MDiv?
  11. Hi guys, I'm planning on applying for the M.Div program at Duke and Princeton Seminary and was wondering if certain schools were biased towards involvement in organizations that were considered "too liberal" or "too conservative". Specifically, I'm wondering if I should include my experience with Amnesty International on my applications to Duke and Princeton since many consider Amnesty to be a fairly liberal organization, whereas I've heard that Duke and Princeton are considered to be somewhat conservative schools. I'm also applying to Harvard and Yale, but I'm assuming since those are fairly liberal schools that a mention of involvement with a liberal organization will not hurt my chances for admissions. (is that reasonable to assume?) NOTE: I am not asking whether or not there is a benefit to learning from someone more liberal or more conservative than I am. I have no doubt that could be true. I am only asking how something like this might affect my chances for being admitted. What do you think?
  12. What does anyone know about the M.Div program at Candler/Emory overall? Also, Where does the school fit on the Liberal/Conservative Spectrum?
