Just curious, what date is your extended deadline for UCLA? On the waitlist here.
04/22 is my extended deadline and the graduate advisor I spoke with did say he had a good amount of people extending their deadline this year in hopes of getting more funding. Good luck!

For anyone who extended their decision deadline at UCLA - have you heard back on any additional funding yet?
Also FYI for anyone waiting on waitlist decisions from Berkley, I heard back on Friday (officially rejected).

Has anyone had any luck requesting and/or negotiating more funding from UCLA?
I also unfortunately had to miss the entire UCLA admitted students day last week due to scheduling conflicts and apparently they are the only school to not record the sessions... Any highlights? Or any resources you got from the event that were particularly helpful?

I talked to an architecture professor at USC when I was deciding where to apply, and he mentioned that UCLA is definitely more of a place to go if you are interested in the intersection between planning/design (although I know USC offers the Design of the Built Environment concentration).
UT Austin's CRP program doesn't have an urban design concentration, nor are they ranked in Planetizen's Guide regarding urban design. They have an entirely different urban design MS. However, the program chair for the MSUD program at UT Austin mentioned that you can apply for the program after your first year as a CRP student and pursue the dual degree program.
Hope any of that helps!
This is super helpful! Thank you!

Does anyone have any thoughts on the major differences between the USC and UCLA programs? (Aside from cost).
And if anyone has any insight on how much urban design exposure/opportunity I would get at USC, UCLA, or UT Austin, I would greatly appreciate it!

Is anyone planning to visit schools prior to the April 15th decision date? I know it is difficult to travel with covid but I don't think I can make the decision without visiting the cities/campuses I would be moving to

In at UCLA! Found out via email, no word on funding in the letter. Did anyone else get any funding news from them?
