  1. Is there a UCLA MURP facebook group/thread/groupme out there for admitted students? Got accepted off the waitlist a couple days ago and looking to connect with fellow students ?
  2. Hm, interesting. I'm on the UCLA waitlist too -- guess that means that if we haven't heard anything, we didn't get in. I wonder if/when they'll send out notices that we are officially denied? Curious to know if any applicants on the UCLA waitlist have received an admittance notification.
  3. I received my USC acceptance via email last week, but there was no mention of funding in the email. When I emailed the admissions rep (Sarah) she mentioned that more information on funding/aid will be shared on admitted students day later in March. Is this the case for others as well? Does anyone have a recommendation for another avenue to try?
  4. For those waitlisted at UCLA: Does anyone have an idea as to what the chances are of being accepted from the waitlist? Or when we might know? I have offers from other schools, but UCLA has been my top choice for a while. I am especially worried, as I assume most waitlist decisions come out after April 15th, which is my deadline to notify most other schools and I wouldn't want to send in a deposit elsewhere only to find out I could be accepted into UCLA later. Any thoughts?
  5. For those in the UCLA and USC boat... I'm with you! Still waiting to hear back from them both here. @jgiara is right in saying that we're still on target for a UCLA decision release in the next week or so, given that their usual timeline is sometime in early March. However, I continue to believe that no news from USC is not necessarily bad news. The only USC decisions I have seen yet are from individual professors emailing some students (perhaps they know those students, networked with them, etc). I do not imagine a Professor would individually reach out to all admitted students at this point, so I believe there is still hope for us that have not yet heard back. Official decisions are still to come. Hang in there, we'll know within the next week or so!
  6. Nope. I was told financial aid/scholarship information would be made available within 48 hours.
  7. I am still waiting on USC. Simply going off of what I have read from this and other forums, some USC professors have notified some students that they will be accepted (with official admissions emails to all applicants likely in the next couple of weeks). It seems that these professors are emailing some students in small batches. I do not imagine that individual professors will send individual emails to applicants letting them know that they've been denied... so, due to the lack of an official applicant-wide email, I presume there have been no notices of rejection sent from USC thus far.
  8. It looks like last year, results were generally posted on the Friday afternoon before March 1st (the 28th last year). If that timeline holds this year, we may see some postings today. Many last year seemed to see updates to their portal without official admissions emails, so I've been refreshing my portal every 10 mins ? If not today, then I'd imagine Monday, but then again I question if they gain much in waiting until Monday to send notifications. I don't imagine them working over the weekend. Fingers crossed we hear today!
  9. I still have yet to hear back from USC! Also waiting on UCLA, NYU Wagner, and Harvard.
