Hi All,
Never was I interested in kid treatment in any way, shape, or form in my PTA career or in my future SLP career. If that's blunt and hurts anyone's feelings, I am sorry. But I am MADE for working with adults and the more challenging medical cases such as TBI and swallowing issues. As I've progressed in the MS-SLP program I am in, I am deeply disappointed at how child-focused it is. It must be like 75% focused on kids. Anyone else frustrated with this? Shouldn't it be closer to 50-50? I hear this is pretty common in all Master's programs, but I just wanted to gripe here for a minute. Ha. Thanks for your thoughts.
