Dude, don't be giving Yale props yet. Me and Big Cheese are still notification-free, even though both of us have called both the Grad School and the poli sci department. Decisions have been made, but nobody wants to tell us, which I'm sure you can tell is more a little bit frustrating.

Anyone else hopeful for Berkeley or Stanford today? Personally, I'm still freaking out about Yale because they enjoy teasing my soul.

Thanks for the hopeful words! I really want to hear soon, as the waiting is killing me slowly and painfully.

Thanks for the optomistic thoughts, Hotep. Yes, I've spent much time speculating in order to guess what it means that we have not heard back yet. But people have been rejected, and accepted, and there seems to be no pattern to the mess. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

No, no news, and it stinks. You, me, and Bigcheese are all in the same boat. Maybe we're waitlisted or something. At least we're not rejected yet!

Well I figured it's 1:30 AM on a Friday night, and while I tend to work this late, the adcomms might not (lazybones.) I guess I'll have to wait until Monday. And if they made me (and BigCheese) wait this entire time only for a rejection letter, I might have to teepee the entire city of New Haven.

Well, I guess Yale just forgot about BigCheese and me. The weekend waiting will blow.

Well I didn't apply to UVA, so I could call them someone else calls Berkeley or Stanford and ask them what their dillio is.

Hey, I didn't apply to UGA, but to me that sounds like an acceptence. If the program rejected you, they wouldn't be sending your application to the Graduate school.

I'm pretty impressed that we've managed to fill 42 pages on this cycle and it's only February 5th.

That's why I love these kinds of blogs. The transparency is invaluable. Applying to grad school is just so hard to navigate and schools are so secretive... Thank god for the interweb.
