I'm going for the MPP. Are you definitly attending GW or do u have any second thoughts? I'm not from the US so what do you think about costs of living in DC, do you know smth about it? I've heard it's expencive, but how much is expensive... Do you have any thoughts about where to live close to the University and not very expensive?

Ok, so finally I received news from my last school (UMD) and was accepted. It took them five months so send me a letter! Too bad I didn't receive any funding. I really liked their program and it was on the same level as GW's MPP from my perspective. Got also admitted to AU, GW and waitlisted at Columbia. Final decision is GW. Though I have yet to find enough money to afford it... If any of you people wants to share, go ahead!

Hi, I haven't heard either and sent my documents in november!!!!!! I'm an international applicant to. At some point you should've received an email asking you to fill in a complementary application on apra.umd.edu There, on the contact information section, there are to ID codes UMDID and SID. With either of them you can log in on testudo.umd.edu My application says "decision pending". I have emailed the school, and they told me all applications will be released by may at the latest (duh!). Emailed them again and said that they will also send some notifications by april.

Hi d_redonda! Finally someone to commiserate with about GW! Really, almost no one on these forums applied to GW's MPP. I applied to GW (Mpp, admitted), AmericanU (Mpp, admitted), Columbia (MPA, waitlisted) and UMaryland (MPP, and haven'te heard from them). Congrats on all your acceptances!! Are you awaiting for any other response besides Duke, Brown or OSU? Did you get any financial assistance from any of those schools? I applied to GW's global leaders fellowship (special for international applicants) and will be hearing about it in early may. I really like the program there, and am planningt to take the international development policy field. FRom what I've read and asked, the program focuses on both on policy analysis and the politics surrounding policy process. That really thrive me to apply there even though the school's website doesn't provide much info. The policy field is also well supported thanks to the Elliot School of intl affairs. As I understand, I would be able to take some classes at the Elliot or even at any other school of the consortium (several schools in the DC area). And even though I'm not good with numbers, I decided to go for the MPP because it would be really helpful for my career... Also, I visited the school last year and the people there have been really helpful. I have emailed the grad coordinator and it takes a long to receive her comments, but she has responded to all of my emails. What about you? Please share your thoughts. Which is your top choice among your schools?

Hi d_redonda. I'm sorry, but I haven't heard anything about OSU (I'm an international applicant). Did you apply for a MPA at GW or the MPP? I got admitted there (MPP), but almost no one on this forums mentiones that program (or at least the University). Did you attend the accepted students session at GW? Any info you could provide would be great. Best...

I sent my app. to UMD early in december 06, but haven't heard anything from them... does anyone know when they will release acceptance letters?

Last post in this forum was last year. Hope someone gets to read this new thread. How's housing in UMD, is it accesible by bus metro? Grads live on campus or off-campus? I'm not from the US so that's why I'm making all this questions... How much do you pay in rent monthly...

Hi-I'm new here. Any tips to get funding from the universities you're applying. Most of the schools I applied to say that they provide different financial aid to incoming students, but that fin. aid is scarce for international applicants. Where else to look for scholarships for international applicants? I've searched fastweb and http://www.internationalscholarships.com/ but have not found anything for me. I applied to an MPP. Any suggestions?

Hi, I already heard from GW and got admitted to the MPP. I'm an international student and now I'm in the process of getting enough funding. UMD admission status website says "pendining decission". AU (mpp) only says application submitted as well as columbia (mpa). Where did you apply??
