Thanks for the advice. The program is a three year masters, education specialist via psychology. The more prestigious university has the largest psychology department in its state, is an easier commute, and well known locally for this specific program. However, it does not offer a Ph. D program, if so desired. The flexible university is well known for it's education department, offers Ph. D program as well as masters, and allows half the work to be completed from home, meaning more days a week at home. However, the drive is unnerving and the town is substandard. Who knew this decision would be so challenging!! I think my undergrad professors mentioned it but you don't realize until your faced with the life changing choice! Thanks again for the time!

Which is more important when deciding between two graduate schools... A program with greater local recognition and larger department? or A program with greater schedule flexibility and unique curriculum? ....taking into consideration a two hour commute, part time job, and home/marriage/family. Thanks for any advice

I'm choosing between graduate schools. It's come down to prestige versus schedule flexibiliy. I'm married and have a part time job, plus I'll be commuting one hour each way. Which is more important?
