This is called a "causeway" by the local government. The "causeway" is natural, not man-made. It consists of stones and is pretty substantial when Lake Michigan is low.

What I'm wondering is
Is the causeway a tombolo even though it is made of rock?
Is Cana Island a tied island, a tidal island, or both? (Lake Michigan doesn't have tides, but the lake gets alternatively deep and shallow over the course of so many years.)
