So, someone at my uni got a Cornell acceptance a few weeks ago, and I haven't heard back from Caltech about interviews, so I'm betting on rejection from both. Still, not upset, got excellent offers from Virginia Tech, Michigan, Iowa State, and Minnesota that are all worth strongly considering, and the west/east coasts are a bit uncomfy for me as a midwestern gal.
No word for me from Caltech, I'm in Theoretical/Computational. Perhaps they aren't doing interviews this year? It seemed like interviews were new last year, so perhaps they decided against doing more of those.
Per last year's thread and some quick research, I know Caltech sent their interview invites out before Xmas (so probably tomorrow or the 23rd, if they repeat this year), and sent out decisions only to some of those interviewed, about late January.
Omg I feel that soooo hard x.x I'm waiting for just 4 more schools and the offers I've gotten so far have made me unsure of where I'd like to go (in a good way), which I suppose is good but now I don't have a top choice anymore and it's making me anxious!
Hi! Computational/Theoretical here, so probably mostly in the same bin, I've heard back from UGa and IA State (as prev. mentioned), and Minnesota Chemical Physics as of today.
So, to update, I've now gotten into two schools, and based on past years, looks like more will be out today. I'm so excited to actually have options, even if the ones I got into were my safeties!
