I took the GMAT on 9 August and got 710. Since I'm not a native speaker, I spent most of time on Verbal. Official Guide Book is valuable. It's worthwhile reading several times. Pace is important, so before taking the GMAT, you'd better keep balance between speed and accuracy. Practice makes perfect. Good luck!
