Graduate: MS Chemistry (Chemical Catalysis conc.), GPA 3.75 (BS/MS accelerated 4yr program at a mid-low tier US state school)
Research: 2 years in RNA biology, 1 REU in bioanalytical chemistry, 1 year in chemical catalysis
Work: Tutor (independent and through my university), Academic Advisor, Chemistry Consultant, currently teaching K-12 on a gap year
Volunteering: 4 years with a relevant student society, 2 virtual mentoring programs, ongoing projects with a science museum
Publications: 1 MS thesis in database, 0 peer reviewed manuscripts
Awards: 1 REU, 2 fellowships to attend major conferences in the field, 2 small university awards
Presentations: 2 poster, 2 oral, some invited speaking engagements from a volunteer group
Background: 22F white, middle class, second time applying (accepted to 3 low tier biochem programs for Fall '21 but funding situation was BAD and I needed a break after doing the BS/MS)
