Hey, Does anyone know how an applicant without an employer sponser should go about trying to become the Associate or University fellow? If they reach out to the university point of contact, wjhat would you reccomend they say? (Asking for a friend)

I am a Lam Research Fellow, and they have multiple divisions looking for GEM so I reccommend to wait but if they don't reach out within a week DM me and I'll give you the university rep.

Has anyone been reached been matched by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory? They keep matching and unmatching my colleague and I was wondering who should I reccomend who they should reach out to?

I believe it's only GEM sponsored schools from the list but I'd contact them because sometimes the forget to update stuff. Also, for your sponsor interview request email, did they state that they are willing to sponsor you for GEM in the email subject or how did they structure the email? I am asking so I know what to look out for.
