Has anyone been accepted after receiving the University of Maryland waitlist?

I got the waitlist from Pittsburgh(CP). This is my primary school... and my only one hope. I have been in despair for a long time, now I am catching this thin light to save my future. If you do not accept your offer from Pittsburgh, Please reject it as soon as possible... Please...!!!

Why does UMD give so many waitlists? Isn't it because many people usually decline the offer of UMD?

I am on CP. I received the waitlist by email. I think they sent all e-mails for the waitlists.

I found that Vanderbilt University sent admission letter and waitlist on 7 Feb. Interestingly, there was also one rejection on the Gradcafe. I have not received anything yet. How should I understand this situation?

University of Washington seems too quiet. Does anyone know when their results will come out? I understand that UW started the interview quite early. I hope the results come out soon.
