Looking for any tips or insights on negotiating stipends for PhD programs! Also curious what the typical range of stipends are and if there’s any variation across experience, education, other factors. Thanks so much!

Cannot believe I’m saying this but… I also received an acceptance letter to Duke’s pop health PhD! Same acceptance info as my (cohort!!!) colleague. Very very likely going to accept the offer. It just takes one YES!!!

I was told that for Duke, all the interviews were last week and the committee was meeting this week to finalize decisions. I’m sorry ?

I was told that track specifically would release interviews late-Jan to early-Feb. Hope that helps!

I also interviewed for Duke Pop health PhD yesterday! Definitely got some questions I wasn’t expecting but we will see what they think. Should be finding out final decisions for them before the end of the month, right? Any clues on how many ppl got interviews?

Oh so sorry to hear that! Hopefully there’s others that will respond back to you soon. I have a semi high gpa for my MPH and am currently doing another masters at an Ivy League and have work experience and publications through my graduate studies. There’s also a really specific center at Duke that I would want to focus my work on and highlighted that a lot in my app. Good luck!
