I also applied to the UC Berkeley Epi PhD program and heard nothing so far. I checked the admissions from previous years on gradcafe and found out that they usualy sent out admissions in Mid Feburary and rejections in March. Fingers crossed for both of us???

I think UCLA is really a "'it depneds" one. Interview is not a required for admission, but the professors can contact you for an interview if she/he wants(This conclusion is based on information gained from post/information in past years and I am not sure whether things will change for this year). Hopefully we will hear back from them soon?
