ACCEPTED AT USC. Email from Sarah Esquivel. I’m finding it hard to believe ittttt. AAAAA. edit: she has asked me to submit my statement of intent via the portal by April 15. Did she mean financial documents? Because I’ve already submitted the SoP along with the application right?

Sent an email to grad admissions first thing in the morning today and received a reply saying that my application is still under review and they appreciate my patience. I don’t even know anymore! Just here to vent my frustration

I sent two emails two weeks ago. Grad admissions replied saying that they have already completed my academic evaluation, now I just have to wait for the department. Then I emailed Sarah Esquivel and she said that my application is under review and I should receive a decision in the following weeks. This was two weeks ago so I don’t know what to think of it anymore. I don’t want to pester them but I don’t understand why it’s taking this long.

Hi! I wanted to know what was the deadline given to you to accept Pratt’s offer. I might’ve been waitlisted so I want to know how much longer I need to wait. :’(

Oh okay thank you! I knew I’d have to wait because I applied on Jan 30th which is very late compared to everyone else. So I guess it’s up to my luck now!

What was the deadline given by USC to make your decision? I’m just asking to know how much longer I need to wait for others also to make their decisions regarding USC.

I think I have been waitlisted at USC and/or Pratt. A kind request to anyone who doesn't want to attend them, to reject your offer. These are my top choices and the long wait is driving me crazy. Please please reject your offer if you don't plan on attending!

I got an email yesterday from Pratt asking to discuss my application further. Is this an interview? Did anyone else get this email from Eve?

Thanks for this. The wait is so painful ? I hope others on this forum also decline offers that they for sure aren’t going to take. Some of us are still waiting to hear from many places.

The saga of Virginia Tech mass rejection continues.. I just got rejected for the same reason as so many other Masters applicants - "No Space Available" I saw so many rants about this on reddit where people who got into IVYs or other top universities, got rejected from VT this year. While my application is not as strong as IVY's, it still pinched a bit.

If you have an offer for the MUP program at USC, and you're definitely not planning to accept it, please decline the offer! It would nudge (in case this is how it works) them to push out the next set of acceptances. Thank you!

I honestly hope you’re right. I know people from Reddit who applied in November and still haven’t heard back I’ve decided to accept another Australian masters program because the deadline to accept the offer is day after tomorrow. If I get into usc I’ll just write a regret letter.

The only major universities open for applicants were in Australia. The ones I applied to in USA aren’t well known programs in the field, atleast from my knowledge. I don’t know their reputation in the country. I got accepted into University of Sydney which says that the decision is valid till their seats get filled up. I also got into University of Melbourne with a scholarship and my deadline to avail the scholarship is March 3rd. I don’t know why they’d do such a thing.

I’m at my wits end with USC! They will not release decisions soon. I sent out applications really late and I have comparable experience with people on this thread. I’m starting to feel like I should’ve waited for Fall 2023 and applied. I could’ve applied to UCB, MIT, Harvard etc. but they were past the deadlines. USC was the only one with late deadlines so I went for it. Now I’ve received almost all decisions except this. Some universities that I received decisions from, need to hear if I accept the offer by next week. I seriously don’t know what to do. I’ve heard that USC sends out acceptances and rejections till the last moment. This was the only top MUP programs that I’d applied to. I’m an international and I need to hear back asap to make living arrangements and stuff.

I’m waiting for Virginia Tech too. I applied in the second week of January. Haven’t heard anything so far. Other universities I’m waiting for: USC, Virginia Tech, ASU, Pratt The ones I got into: University of Sydney, University of Melbourne and UW Milwaukee (this one’s my safety school) I’m so anxiously waiting for the decisions.

Has anyone applied to Virginia Tech? When do the decisions come out? Also, still waiting for USC.

Has USC only given out like 3 acceptances? So many of us are still waiting for a decision. This is my top priority!

SAME. I keep thinking its an application update. My application still shows "Complete". Hasn't progressed whatsoever!
