So those of you who've had offers, have you guys decided which school you'll be attending?
I have been accepted at CMU for phd in statistics, and UMASS for phd comp sci (machine learning/computational social science). I'm waitlisted at Columbia for phd in statistics. I visited CMU and really liked everything about that school. While CMU is my top priority I'm having hard time to decide if it is the one.
The only perk of going to Columbia is the opportunity to work with Andrew Gelman. I have not visited the department and don't know much about it. UMASS is also good for computer science and I'm more familiar with the school and the department and it's pretty good. I know, I want to do more stats intensive program with opportunities for interdisciplinary research, and CMU is perfect for it. Should I wait till I hear from columbia and NCSU??
