Hey Suprisecake! When do you arrive to Durham? I have been here for two weeks and the city is pretty awesome. I am getting a little nervous about starting classes/diagnostics. Let's meet up when you get here!
-
That's how I feel about SOS! Duke offered 7,000 scholarship and 3,000 assistantship. What about you?
-
So this is becoming a really hard decision because Arizona State University SOS offered me a full ride plus stipend. Is anyone else considering SOS? How is the program regarded? I am nervous because the program is so new. Also, Duke is my dream school but I will have to go into a lot of debt! Any opinions will be helpful!

If it makes you feel any better I did not even apply to Yale MEM because of the age thing

SPEA is about 20,000 /year based on twelve credits per semester. But it would take at least 2 years for the MPA/MSES. Duke is about 30,000/year for two years, but I only got 10,000/year funding. How much funding did you get? So are you leaning towards Duke for sure? I can let you know how the admitted student weekend goes!

It was an email that stated that you have to download the attached pdf letter. The letter says the decision.

I was accepted to UCSB but don't find out about funding until April 1. I also received the Educational Opportunity Fund from SPEA. So I was leaning towards Duke but I am now a little more undecided because of the savings if I go to IU SPEA. What does everyone think about reputation vs. cost? Is Duke worth $20,000 more than IU? This is getting so hard!

I was accepted last night at UCSB but no word on funding yet until April 1. I can't afford to visit all of these schools but I would love to see the UCSB campus. Any time I mention that school the only response I get is how gorgeous it is. This decision is getting so hard!

I am! What about you?

Congrats!!!

I was notified by email that I was admitted last Friday. Then when I checked/online it said admitted.
-
Thanks. How did you know what they offered for the second year? I have emailed to ask if the scholarship is the same for the second year but they have not replied.
-
I found out I was accepted to Arizona State University SOS. Pretty excited but I am still waiting for financial aid.
-
So if the acceptance letter did not mention funding that means we didn't get any? If so, that makes my decision a little easier!
-
What do you consider a little bit? (sorry for being nosy

U-M School of Natural Resources - Admitted Students

Thanks for the info but they admit. email/letter said funding would be coming separately (I think mid-March?). Where did you end up going? -
Congrats! Are you going to the admitted student's day?
-
Just got it tonight! I am curious to see about the Columbia program, I was seriously considering applying there.
-
Did you actually get a paper letter in the mail? I just got an email from Rackham graduate school.
-
Where did you find the information about the admit day? I am just sort of waiting for financial aid info before diving in super deep about decisions!
-
I submitted all my apps in/by November, so pretty early. I also heard back from U of Michigan and was accepted! I hope you hear back soon!
-
Well the confirmation of application email said decisions will start to be made in February and that the applications were given to the faculty January 3rd. Oh but another email said towards the end of February, so who knows!
-
I chose the Ecosystem Science and Conservation concentration. I applied in November/December, so maybe they look at early application earlier? I have also been accepted at Indiana University at Bloomington for the joint MES/MPA. I am waiting to hear from Arizona State SOS, UCSB, and University of Michigan. We should be hearing from Arizona State soon right?
-
Update! I was accepted at Duke MEM with a $7000 scholarship and $2900 assistantship! Not sure if it is only for 1 year or for both. Any other updates?

Hello, I just graduated from UCF with a Bachelor's. I was going to say that the sprawl was awful but if you are from most places in Florida than you already know! Around UCF is sort of like a separate community than the rest of Orlando. Downtown is about 20 minutes away and actually has some cool neighborhoods/restaurants, but it's a little far to drive everyday. I live about 4 miles from campus in River Park Apartments and am pretty happy, but there are a ton of apartments everywhere. You could also live in the Oviedo area close to campus where I think a lot of faculty live. Let me know if you have any questions!
