  1. I saw a post from January 26th which an Economics and Public Policy acceptance. Considering sociology track hasn't made any decisions, but there was a random acceptance in the econ track, it would be worth reaching out to them and asking, especially as it's been a month since then. If I am not mistaken, I saw an acceptance on February 8th with Public Policy and Political Science. One random acceptance (per the poster) followed by radio silence for almost three weeks with everyone else is also strange. I would reach out to them as well. I personally did not ask about either program, so that's why I would suggest reaching out. And it took me two weeks to get a reply, it could very well be the same in terms of response time.
  2. I emailed them about two weeks ago asking if it would be at all possible for a decision to be made at the end of February due to extenuating circumstances on my end, they responded yesterday saying they will try to have decisions out by March 1st.
  3. Admissions emailed me and said that they are trying to have decisions made by March 1st.
  4. I spoke with admissions, they believe it'll be next week when they start releasing admissions decisions. Good to know, if not on time.
  5. Has anyone heard from PAM? Like at all? I figure I'm going to be denied, but I would just like official confirmation from the department. They say they aim for mid-February, but I am not sure.
  6. I applied to UMich, Syracuse, UChicago, and Cornell (also to MSU for a totally different ag-focused program). Have heard nothing back from any school, although I need to know in the next two weeks due to extenuating circumstances. I doubt I'll get in anywhere (great LOR, strong writing skills, and important prior research, everything else is below-average though) but it would be nice to know that I am denied. Honestly treating this cycle as a test run to calibrate my expectations, but it is frustrating that it takes this long, especially when I had everything wrapped up in November.
