how competitive is Uwaterloo and UVictoria's MPH programs? Does anyone know? I know UofT, UBC and McGill are super competitive, so I want to guage where UVic and UWaterloo stand.

I think we should hear from UBC sooner cause their deadline was Dec 31st. Last year, UBC sent acceptances on March 13 but this year they are very quiet (I think they got way more applicants which is not surprising).

On the application guidelines, it says that we will hear beginning of April. I hate this waiting game.

Mine says the same thing.

It could be other streams but not epidemiology and health promotion.

Hello everyone, I emailed UWaterloo for admission status and got this automatic reply and sharing with everyone: This is an automatic reply confirming receipt of your email. If you are inquiring about the status of an application you submitted, please note we are in the process of reviewing them as we speak. Offers are expected to be sent out on a rolling basis starting mid March and continuing through until May.

I think this is unrelated to the admissions.

Hey no, it hasn't. Their status always stays the same, you just get a notification via email when you a get an acceptance/rejection email to see status page.

Hey emailed Suzanne Jackson (program director) on Tuesday (Feb 14th) and this is what she said: We are sending out the applications this week to the reviewers. There are a series of steps and the first round of acceptances should go out in early April.

My GPA is 3.00 but I have three years of public health experience and five years of project and program management experiences. They never give the reasons of rejection unless you email them and I haven't yet.

I have no idea. I am really hoping for at least one school to accept me cause this is my third time.

I am very teary right now, because I lived as a refugee until i was 17 years old and when i came to Canada i didnt have a linear path to school highschool and university. which is why it took me so many extra steps just to climb the same ladder as others with privilege of a less tragic childhood. Despite i spent last year taking STATs course and finished it with an A- while getting into health care with a social science degree. So i am really hurt hearing the news of rejection but i am determined and i want to do better for next cycle.. I emailed Suzanne and she told me about my rejection..

Did anyone hire someone to review their intent letter for MPH? I got an informal rejection for MPH-SBHS at UofT and I am confused as to how i can make my application better for next cycle.
