what if your school is not a member of this council of graduate schools and you already accepted but want to reject

Same situation here.

Thanks guys for the advice, its really such a difficult choice. One program is close to my family and friends and has an excellent stipend, the other program is very far away with a less attractive stipend. However, I told myself that if I got into the first program I would stick with it. But recently I am really considering the other offer. Frankly the offer letter is very attractive. Both programs are really great schools and programs. The biomedical research laboratories are really excellent. What a difficult decision.

Hello all, Thanks for reading my post, have a question for you all. I have recently received an acceptance letter from one school which I have already signed and returned. However, even more recently I have received another offer, which I am considering. My question for you all is , is it possible to rescind an offer which you have already accepted to take another offer. If so, do any of you have a story to tell, such as what happened exactly, and how common this occurs. Thanks -PhD applicant

Is it common that graduate schools lose all of your letters of recommendation. I just don't understand how this can happen. For example, I had to send in 3 letters from separate sources at different times. Each of the three letters have not arrived, and this was months ago. Has this happened to any of you? Could you describe the situation and how you fixed the situation? Seems that two of the schools I applied for will not even process my application because they are missing all 3. However, all the other schools have received all of them. Really would not like to bother already all the professors to have to fill out the forms again and attach the letters again, after they helped me so much. What to do? Any similar stories? Thanks.....
