  1. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, there is facebook group for anyone who has accepted McMaster! https://www.facebook.com/groups/881026309625122/
  2. For people who have accepted McMaster, have you received any additional information about any next steps?
  3. Not sure if its me who you're referring to, but I did post about being accepted to McMaster and Western! I've heard great things about both schools, but McMaster University has a very unique way of teaching that is very problem based, which I definitely prefer to more standard lecture work. (Also my boyfriend and I are moving in together and he is working around Hamilton, which made the decision a lot easier as well hahah). I would recommend maybe reaching out to current students at both schools and talking to them. Of course they will both be biased, but it will give you some more insight. I truly don't think theres a bad decision though!
  4. I've officially accepted McMaster! Is there a group-chat or anything?
  5. Has anyone accepted their offer on ORPAS yet? Do I click "Firmly Accept" and then click off the other schools id "still like to be considered for"???? Im too scared to mess up hahaha.
  6. Did anyone find out about acceptances for Mcmaster or Western through email? Because I haven't gotten an email, just saw through ORPAS and through the school portals
  7. I remember last year I didn't get an email from them until the morning which I think a couple other people mentioned as well, so I wouldn't wait around for it tonight
  8. Got accepted to Western and Mcmaster!!!! I am so thrilled. I checked ORPAS and there is no status update for UofT so I'm assuming that I was rejected there. Congrats to everyone no matter what, everyone should be proud ❤️
  9. For the ontario school they give out everything on this date. Usually shortly after midnight even for some schools (I got rejection letters from Mcmaster and Western around 12:30 at night, and Toronto didnt come in until approximately 11 on that day. But Im assuming waitlists would vary
  10. Yes! Even though I know that the Ontario schools don't give out acceptances until April 3rd I can't help but check hahah
  11. Woohoo! Thats weird that out of province makes a difference considering its an online program this year for St Lawrence, so you would think it wouldn't matter. Either way congrats but ill keep my fingers crossed for dal hahah.
  12. Me too! I have acceptances to St Lawrence and Georgian for CDA so if I dont get accepted to any schools on April 3rd I will be accepting St Lawrence!
  13. Congrats! Did you ever get a confirmation email from dal saying your application was all good? I never got a confirmation email and my dal application still says "incomplete items outstanding". I was just wondering if this is still the case for you
  14. Congrats to everyone who completed the MMI this weekend! Now we wait
  15. Yes that's what it says for me! I was concerned because I only got the email confirmation for the written assignment, but good to know i'm not the only one. I remember seeing in an email that it will say 80% when you've completed all the necessary steps, so you should be all good!
  16. I did the after stroke conversation group and the connect and share/hi tech role. I suppose I could put it under the category anyways!
  17. Oh I've done MODC but I didn't have to meet up with one? What specific program did you do?
  18. I just want to confirm that requesting a transcript through ORPAS is enough for them to receive our transcripts. Like we don't have to go through our schools and send them/order them out right?
  19. Oh we can't use SLP even if we put it in brackets after spelling it out the first time?
  20. This is very specific but, if Im writing "discovered the speech-language pathology profession" in my SOI, does "speech-language pathology" get capitalized?
  21. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone here knows or has heard from people currently at Dalhousie, about how the first year has gone? As someone who has undergrad experience with applied linguistics, is the first year a lot of repetition?
  22. Most are anywhere from 3.7-4.0 realistically 3.8-4.0 but definitely depends on other aspects of your application as well
