Got an email from UBCO as well. They said my admission decision is currently waiting to be processed and I should hear by late next week... doesn't really give me much but at least they responded. -

I also received an acceptance this morning (but I've accepted the UBC BSW already so I will be declining Dal). Last name starts with G. -

I agree. I'm guessing we won't be hearing from them during the weekend. I've also emailed them twice and gotten no response. Quite disappointing -

Okay friends, that's it. If I don't hear back from UBCO today, I'm accepting a post-grad BSW. -

I applied Oct 31st but my last reference was submitted on Jan 8th so I don't know if that makes a difference. It doesn't actually seem like they're doing it on a rolling basis. Unless they are and I'm on some hidden waitlist. Who knows... but wishing you some good news soon. -

Hm... It's so strange I haven't heard back if it's on a rolling basis cause I applied in October. My status has also not changed at all. -

Thank you both for your input, very much appreciated Still haven't heard from UBCO (even though I applied in Oct!) so as of now I will be probably taking the offer at UBC. -

Hello everyone! This is non-MSW related but I'm needing some of your wise words. After getting waitlisted at UofT and still not hearing back from UBC-O for their MSWs, I was happy to receive a post-grad BSW admission at UBC (does anyone have any experience or info about this program? If so, I'd love to hear). I definitely still want to do an MSW since I want to get into clinical practice and research so overall I would have to spend more years in school. However, I'm hesitant because I'm already in student loan debt from my first BA and the program's load looks heavy enough that I don't know if I'd be able to hold a PT job throughout. I also just graduated so I fear that if I go right back I might be risking burning out at some stage. I would consider working for a bit instead and trying again for MSWs next year but that is taking quite a risk. Could I be underestimating what a BSW can offer me? Is the extra year, effort, and money worth it? I know these are hard questions to answer but any thoughts on this would be very appreciated. And if anyone has any experience or info about the BSW at UBC let me know. I also applied to the online BSW at Dalhousie which I haven't heard back from. -

Question for those who have heard back from UBC-O 2 year program... did anything change on your CWL account or did you just receive a letter via email? -

I emailed them today wanting more information on when we should expect to hear back (it's taking longer than I expected!) and they said notifications are being sent out via email between now and end of April. So we could be waiting for another month... I really hope it comes sooner though Edit: Also they got my name completely wrong in the email greeting which tells me they're just copy/pasting email responses lol -

Got waitlisted for UofT as well. Honestly not mad about it considering it's my first time applying and I didn't even realize how competitive it is until I joined this thread. I'm assuming chances of getting off the list are pretty low considering most people accept their admission? -

I applied to the foundational program. And I agree, that is strange. I don't actually know if they do it that way. If it is, I feel like I would have heard by now since they were supposed to start sending them out mid-Feb. But it also seems like a general trend that advanced hear like a month before foundational... which is kind of annoying lol -

Gonna jump in here as well. I applied pretty early around end of October. I received the "your application is under review" email on Feb 5th. Haven't heard anything back since.
