  1. Thank you! Wishing you the best of luck in your journey as well!!
  2. I applied for the two year aging program. But I’m most likely turning down my offer to go to CSUN’s online program ?
  3. Hi yes! They sent me an official email on March 30th.
  4. For anyone who has committed to the two-year online program at CSUN, here is the link for our Facebook group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/299596285592802/
  5. Hi everyone! I interviewed March 10th with CSUF. I got an offer from another school with a short deadline, so I emailed CSUf and they told me unofficially that I would be receiving an admission offer and that official letters will out by the end of this week. Hope this helps!
  6. Awesome! You’ll probably hear back this week or next week I imagine. I have until the 25th the give them an answer ?
  7. I interviewed with CSUN on March 8th and CSUF on March 10th ?
  8. Yesssss exactly. I’ll probably wait to email them.. gosh if I get into both programs it’s gonna be a tough decision
  9. Yes I am ? at my interview with Fullerton they said not to hesitate to reach out if we got an acceptance elsewhere and needed more info to help make a decision. I’m debating if I should email them and let them know that northridge wants my decision by next Friday? I don’t want to sound pushy either…
  10. Got an acceptance email this morning from CSUN!!!
  11. Got the news this morning via email that I was accepted into CSUN’s two-year online program!! I have until March 25th to make a decision, and I’m still waiting to hear back from CSUF?
  12. Hi! Thank you! Good luck to you as well! They said they were hoping to notify us within a few weeks, so I'm hoping sooner rather than later. The interview for CSUF felt much more relaxed for me, CSUN's interview really stressed me out haha. The questions CSUF asked were much more general interview questions, not so much about social work itself.
  13. I’m an alumni so I’m already familiar with the campus and I liked all the information they provided at the info session. I also liked the flow of the interview and how all of us applicants interacted.
  14. It was nice!! I think I might actually be leaning toward them as my top choice. The interviewers were the admissions director who also did the info night and a professor.
  15. For anyone interviewing at Cal State Fullerton, I did mine this morning and it went pretty well. It was much more relaxed than my interview with CSUN. The questions were more general and honestly easier to answer. They asked things like how you've managed a stressful scenario, what a weakness might be for you in the program, etc. And there were only four of us in the group interview, I was expecting 6-8. I'm really hoping I get an admission offer from them soon!
  16. Oops sorry didn't realize this was the CSUN thread. I think you're fine if they're still allowing you to interview on Saturday? It is pretty confusing that we're required to check a separate email to get any information from them.
  17. Which school was this for?
  18. Omg I was in the same group as you!! I'm not as nervous about tomorrow now that I know we don't have more group exercises and writing prompts lol. And thank you for giving some examples I really appreciate it!!
  19. Awesome! That's good to know. What kinds of questions were they asking? With CSUN I felt like they were very centered around equity and racism and I wasn't really prepared for it ?
  20. I actually didn't apply for their program. I'm new to the field and I was a little late in the game with getting applications in. I initially thought I wanted to do in person programs so I only applied to schools near me (CSUF and CSULB) but decided last minute to apply for CSUN's online program. But since then I've been wishing that I had applied to more online programs. If I don't end up getting into their program I might look into Fordham University, Boston University, or UMass Global since they all do rolling admissions.
  21. I wouldn't worry too much. I think it's a good sign that they followed up with you and still allowed to you schedule an interview. You should be fine!!
  22. Hi!! I would love to hear how your interview with CSUF went? I interview with them tomorrow morning at 10am and I'm not sure what to expect..
  23. You're welcome! Best of luck to you and I'd love to hear how your interview goes!
  24. I don't really remember any specific questions unfortunately, I hardly even remember the one that was asked of me. But the main themes were surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion, and combating racism and anti-blackness. They were the kind of questions where you had to reflect on how you've contributed to this issue or how you plan to contribute in the future.
  25. Hi! Congrats on your interview! I interviewed with CSUN today and it went okay! Be prepared to answer a question that will require you to be introspective. A lot of the questions had to do with combatting racism since CSUN is huge about that. The group exercise also wasn't that hard. It was basically just brainstorming with the group about a prompt so that they could see we're capable of teamwork. And the writing prompt was also very straightforward. Wishing you the best of luck!
