  1. This is obviously fully going to be dependent on your unique situation, but getting a BSW significantly increases your odds of getting into a MSW. And there are several funded MSWs across the country (depending on if you're willing to move or not) as well as large government funding (NSERC, OGS - ontario, etc.) so you may not have to pay for the MSW at all. You run the risk of compromising BSW grades and thus your competitiveness for MSW funding if you try to work during the BSW, though, so that is of course an additional consideration. There is a lot to consider but I would recommend the BSW, even if just so you can register upon graduation and get higher paying jobs to work for a few years before your MSW.
  2. Through my graduate program I worked as a TA. Definitely look into applying to be one if neither school offers them in their admission packages. There are also external and internal scholarships at just about every school, too. Some of these may be open to apply to already. Graduate programs are less intensive than undergraduate programs in many ways, I'd recommend looking into outside employment if neither of the above options work for you. Congrats on the offer.
  3. Depends on the school. Most, yes, unfortunately
  4. It's totally understandable. Keep faith though, there's still time to hear good news. For anyone applying to UoT in the 2 year program, I really recommend applying to many (like, 3-4+) places next year if this year doesn't work out. With 1400 apps for 140 spots, too many qualified people don't make it. Their 1 year program is far less competitive if you are set on UoT I'd recommend a post-grad BSW. York has one if you're local. Good luck.
  5. If it's any help, the 2 year program usually has acceptances over a period of several days since there are so many people. They always go by alphabetical order. Waitlist and rejections come next. ACORN updates several days before emails or SGS come through, so I'd look into setting up an ACORN account by contacting the Registrar or looking through your old emails. Good luck.
