So, I’m looking into the SLPA program. In reading the CA requirements for licensure it indicates that you have to have an AA or BA in SLP or Communicative Disorders. I found a program through the University of Montana that would allow me to do the 23 units to obtain the certificate but I’m not sure if I can only do it through the schools listed on the ca.gov website or can I go elsewhere and try to transfer my education for slpa certification? Unfortunately I decided into this feel too late in the game and I obtained a BA in sociology 10 years ago. Does this mean, I’d have to start an AA or BA/S program all over again?
