Same, I was very confused until I read the bit about it being generic. It's not helpful and poorly made... surprised they sent out an email like that.

I received the rejection notice at about 4:30 CST. Didn't notice it until half an hour ago cause outlook sent it to a weird folder. Status on application portal is unchanged though.
