  1. nope!! the only thing that says they've received is the fee ? I also handed my application on the due date so mine won't be updated for a couple of weeks i think!
  2. mine also has the same thing, even though all my references have sent in their letters. I think it gets really backed up because there are so many people sending them documents
  3. 1000 applicants ? if that's true that's almost double what other schools receive!
  4. Yes they use the same system of calculating the last 60 credits! "A minimum GPA of 3.3 (on a 4.3 scale) is required by Dalhousie's Faculty of Graduate Studies. The GPA used in the admission process is calculated using the most recent 60 credit-hours (equivalent to 20 half credit courses) of undergraduate studies for which grades are available at the time of application." https://www.dal.ca/faculty/health/scsd/scsd-admissions-info/scsd-admission-requirements.html
  5. Hi, I recently passed in my application to Dalhousie and reached out to my references. So far one has gotten the form so fingers crossed for both of us! I would email again, even call to admissions office. Im not too sure about the PDF but maybe send it to them and get them to fill it out incase they don't receive the emails? Good luck!!!
  6. Yes! I think I read it one a previous years thread but dal may have one of the smallest class sizes, but I think Western or McMaster only take about 32 students so they're similar. Good luck to you too!! I'm happy that applications are almost done but it will be stressful for the next few months.
  7. Dalhousie goes by the 4.3 system also and yes insanely good marks!! I believe thats correct, it's the only SLP program in Canada where you don't need prerequisites I think. It's my number one even though it's a year longer!
  8. Hi, I am also applying to Dal!! I believe they accept around ~30 students but I don't know how many apply. I think it might be less than other schools because it is three years versus two years. The following is what their website states "In recent years, the average GPA for our incoming class has been about 4.0 and all successful applicants have had GPAs above 3.7. Many students whose GPA is not in the competitive range choose to take additional courses to try and improve their grades before they submit an application." Fingers crossed for both of us if you're applying!!
  9. Hi everyone, I have been reading these threads for years, I'm excited to finally be able to post in one!! I'm applying to Dal, Western, and McMaster. I have a good GPA but I'm really lacking in volunteer experience. I'm hoping that completing honours will make me look better but I'm so nervous!!!
