Hey everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that, if you have competitive offers from other programs, it's definitely worth reaching out to Columbia to see if they can work with you on upping your fellowship package. I reached out to the person I had been talking with for the MPA-ESP program about an offer I had received from a different program and they doubled my fellowship offer. @aatrip Sure, I received an offer of $55k/year from Harris. I also applied to Columbia SIPA (MPA and MPA-ESP), NYU Wagner, HKS, and Princeton SPIA.

@aatrip, fortunately my scholarship from Harris was enough to cover most everything, so if I decide to go with them, I don't think I'll need any additional external funding. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

@aatrip, I did not apply to the Pearson fellowship/any other named fellowships. My scholarship (I believe) was based purely on the contents of my regular application.

Hi all. I was accepted to Harris' MPP program via phone call on 17/11 and then received the official letter along with award information on 19/11. Good luck with your applications!

Hey! I reached out to Maya who brought it up to the fellowship committee who decided, in light of my interest in the ESP program and the offer I had received from UChicago, that they would up my fellowship award. Hope this helps and good luck!
