Physiology. I am not sure but being honest, I would not expect any interviews from Columbia CMBS at this point.

Just emailed Erin Goley (Johns Hopkins), she said they sent out almost all invites already and that I was rejected. Sigh.

Oh boy, where do I start. I have not been able to sleep in my regular schedule ever since I pressed the "submit" button. I however, have started to take brisk walks throughout the day, up-to 5 miles a day with occasional stops to birdwatch. Besides that, I am in the lab trying to focus on the research while unsuccessfully trying to start preparing for the interviews. I think we should set up zoom meetings or something to discuss/chat stuff since all of us are in the same boat. It'd be cool to talk to someone else about one's science to build confidence. If that sounds like a good idea, send me a message.

@Peanut I applied early too....plus had met up with a PI from there at a conference(who asked me to apply and he would talk to the search committee). It's very weird...to say the least.

There's at-least 4 to 5 people on reddit that have said they got an invite. As an international student, I wouldn't be surprised if they rejected me tbh.

Didn't apply there but not getting a Yale BBS MCGD invite is KILLING ME.

Just got request for first round of virtual interview for the Weill Cornell BCMB Allied program! Excited!!!

@yikesonbikes Congrats!! Is your interview virtual or in-person? @coloredimages Congrats!! Do they have different kind of interviews for domestic and internationals, hmmmmm

I applied to CMBS. But did not choose the umbrella program. Instead chose Cellular and Molecular Physiology & Biophysics Program as the primary interest and another department as the secondary.

Guys, I just got an interview offer from Columbia University's Cellular and Molecular Physiology & Biophysics Program. I'm an international student so this is incredible. Interview in early January.

International student doing Master's in the US. Looking at some of y'alls stats gets me nervous. However, I am fairly confident I will get into one of the programs I applied to. No paper(yet), 2 posters at internationals conferences. GPAs: Bachelor(3.35) and MS(3.91) Applied to: Yale BBS, Hopkins BCMB, Cornell BCMB, Columbia CMBS, UNC BBSP and Tufts GMCB. So basically no safety school cause I'd rather not spend 5 to 6 years at a college that I don't ABSOLUTELY love. Be Blessed. .
