  2. Just got an offer from Harvard BBS! They said they’re sending out acceptances on a rolling basis this year. (I was in the second interview weekend.)
  3. anecdotally (from reddit) have seen a few people who've said they got invites for the second round but it's all about the umbrella track so they may be doing it track by track! I think it's definitely sometime this week though
  4. Does anyone know when Columbia (CMBS/umbrella track) is supposed to get back to us about second round interviews? ? Edit: nvm—just got the invite two seconds after posting haha
  5. Which programs at those schools? They’re all on different timelines. Here’s the master doc from reddit: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wZ97YulhFeNUil4K0_UqSv6YrikCTwA7HT0LlRuPZ0c/edit
  6. Are there any stats on gradcafe/reddit/whatever about what the acceptance rate is post interview for programs? Having such a hard time finding this info on the websites!
  7. maybe this is annoying to ask but how do y'all chill out and forget about this stuff?? do you?? I know I'm lucky since I've gotten interview invites but like as soon as I get the invite it's about 30 seconds of "yay!!!" and then it's immediately on to stressing about the interview. Just dealing with a ton of imposter syndrome I guess and would love some advice (or at least commiseration!!) if you all have any
  8. out of curiosity—what was the wording of your Columbia interview emails? I thought it was a little weird so just curious if we all got the same form letter.
  9. 10. mixed bag for me—some are related (ish) and some are random. Like the guy in my first slot works with T-cells (I'm in CAR-T therapy/cancer bio) BUT he's a neurologist lol I I know nothing about the brain
  11. y'all I saw on reddit that apparently Harvard BBS is sending out invites tomorrow. Fingers crossed for all of us!!
  12. Just got an interview invite for Columbia's Integrated Program in Cellular, Molecular, and Biomedical Studies (cancer bio track)!!! So excited!
  13. oof yep that's what I was thinking. Guess I'll just go with it for now and hope I can do something later after a decision! Thanks for the advice
  14. omg I just realized I'm an idiot and I accidentally applied to just the NYU biology program and not the biomedical program. Is there anything I can do?! Does anyone know if I'll be able to rotate in biomedical labs even as a biology phd student? I can't believe I'm so dumb wow. I feel like I should email the admissions people but then will that look bad that I didn't double check? Oh my god I'm so screwed lol pls help
  15. Anxious by nature but cautiously optimistic. 2 second author papers, 1 middle author. 3 very strong letters of rec. Seven years of research experience (mostly full time) at University of Washington, MIT, and The Rockefeller University (letters are from department heads of these schools). Two undergrad theses. Undergrad GPA 3.87 (major GPA 3.97). NCAA varsity athlete. Applied to 12: Rockefeller, MIT, Harvard, Yale, Icahn/Mt Sinai, Sloan Kettering, University of Washington, Stanford, Columbia, Weill Cornell, UCLA, NYU
  16. I got it! I didn't think it was anything important though. They specifically said in the email that our answers would not be visible to admissions.
