I’ll just add to this with my experience, because I was in that same situation last year. Immediately after I was rejected, I followed up with the POI to express disappointment (nicely) and let them know I hope to apply again next year and ask if there is anything they think I should focus on to be a stronger applicant. The two people I did this for were very nice and encouraging in response. Then around Septemeber/October, I reached out again reminding them who I was and my research interests, and letting them know I was still very interested in their research and asking if they plan to accept students this year. And in both cases I was accepted this round! Best of luck, I know how discouraging it can be to have to go through the process a second time!

No, biological. I looks like people in all different tracks are getting decisions today though, according to results page on gradcafe

Waitlisted at Yale. Just got email that my status has been updated. I saw a post in a different forum that they were told that only 2 students were admitted this year due to current students not graduating because if the pandemic.

You never know, there's a good chance every subfield work differently, but I have no idea. And I get what you mean, when I applied last cycle there was one school that never even gave me an official rejection of any sort, I just never received an acceptance. Pretty sure if I logged in now it would still say pending lol

I was accepted for biological, and I think someone else was accepted in sociocultural. Although weirdly enough when I go to the portal it has the "congratulations on your acceptance" message, but when I click application status it still says "pending."

I'm biological and also received an unofficial acceptance over the weekend. However my POI said the official offers from the grad school might take another week or so.

Thank you! It may be because I applied to the biological track, but I have no idea honestly. My undergrad GPA wasn't super amazing (3.5) but I've done a masters and have worked in a few labs that relate. I have one publication from undergrad, and just submitted my masters thesis for review. Hope that helps!

I think also the different tracks may do interviews differently. I'm not sure if you also applied for social, but if not there's definitely still a chance (at least that's what I'm telling myself as I also haven't heard anything from Yale)

Just got an offer from Michigan! I assumed I hadn't got in since I never got an interview!

Has anyone contacted Yale lately? I'm starting to get nervous thinking maybe they have reached out to people already since I know they only take a very small amount each year. Also I think they had sent out interview invites by this time last year.

Still nothing from Yale for anyone?? They sure are taking their sweet time lol

Anyone know if UMich has held interviews?

Just got an email from my POI at CUNY about setting up a zoom interview with the admissions committee!

I also applied to the biological track at UT San Antonio, and my friend applied to the one at Stony Brook. What sort of research are you interested in? -
Hi thanks for this! I applied to Duke Ecology and Dartmouth EEES. I have a campus visit/unofficial interview with Dartmouth next week. I haven't heard anything from Duke, although the POI said they probably can't take a student this year so I'm not too surprised. Has anyone else heard?

By track I meant concentration, such as biological/cultural/linguistic anth...this is typically something you check or mention on the application, although every schools does it differently.

Congrats on your interviews! What track did you apply to?

Hi! I applied to UW Madison and was accepted, and I'm waiting to here from Yale, CUNY, UMass Amherst, UMich, and UTSA. Does anyone know which schools do interviews? I think CUNY does but I'm not sure about the rest...
