  1. Nope, no interview! And its all good, what's meant to be shall certainly be! ?
  2. I'm thinking probably none of us have heard back Yale SBS--seems like multiple of us have heard they are likely not taking a cohort this year sadly! For JHU, rejected from PopFam but still no word back from HBS!
  3. Nothing here either! I wonder if that means we're in the waitlist spectrum? *shrugs* just hoping we all get some definitive responses in the next month or so!
  4. I'm excited for your remaining 7--you got this!! May I ask how you found out about Brown officially?
  5. Awesome!!!! Happy to connect off the thread if you wanna talk about it!
  6. Same friend! Was def thinking interviews were in my crystal orb! But, they're missing out, and we'll become amazing researchers wherever we end up! ?
  7. Oh lawd ?welp, I may have (unofficially) struck out on all my "reach" schools ya'll lol! My regional schools I'm waiting for are Virginia Commonwealth, George Mason, and UMassMed. Already admitted to UMD, which I'm leaning toward at this point--in my experience, state schools are always such a nurturing experience, so I'm grateful and excited!
  8. Hey there! Was also rejected from PopFam, but waiting to hear back from HBS (I applied to two different departments, lol). If I'm not mistaken, the Brown BHS interview day already happened ? Here's the email I got when I inquired on the status; "We hosted a Virtual Interview Day today (1/20) for our PhD applicants. Please don't feel discouraged as less than 9% of our applicants were invited to this event." Not a formal rejection but...I would assume I'll get one soon lol?
  9. I've heard the same thing about Yale from some folks over there, that SBS may not even be taking a cohort for PhD due to lack of funding?? Ugh, transparency would be so great in this process, lol!
  10. Ah jeez, I didn't even know! As someone else mentioned, I had such an amazing talk with a faculty member, thought I was interview material for sure ? humbling moments, but we're growing though it!
  11. Hi all! Quick blurb from Hopkins HBS/SBS PhD Admin--emailed them today; "Thank you for your continued interest in the PhD degree program in the Dept. HBS. We anticipate interviews happing in late January to the first week of February and decisions being sent out as soon as possible afterwards. This would also include rejections and waitlist decisions." Still no word back from BHS at Brown! ? Not sure if that means we got the boot or if interviews are happening later than originally planned! Fingers crossed for great news on the horizon!
  12. Hi everyone--looks like we're all in the dreaded waiting season ?lol--wishing everyone the absolute best of luck this year!! Just to share some gems of information I've gleaned in response to the Brown inquiries; An admissions officer at Brown back in December told me January 20th is the day of interviews--that said, none of us seem to have heard back on it yet lol? So I emailed again the other day (1/9/23) to get an idea of the timeline and they said "As of right now, we cant give you an update, maybe by next week"---so maybe next week lol? Which would be strange if the interview day itself is next week---maybe they're behind schedule and planning to postpone? I've spoken to some current students (BSHS) and they said it was pretty quick between the interview notification, the interview, and the acceptance decision (all between end of Jan and front half of Feb)--so, TBD! We got this ya'll! Already got my first acceptance//funding offer (UMD College Park Community Health PhD!) ?
