  1. Congrats! there's a facebook group for UofT: https://www.facebook.com/groups/242094711620219
  2. I just declined my spot at UofA and Dalhousie so that means 2 spots for people on the waitlists!
  3. Does anyone know where I can find info on UofT tuition costs? I've been accepted at UofT and waitlisted at Western!
  4. I got an acceptance letter from Dalhousie last week, but from what people are saying from previous years it sounds like they don't send out all acceptances at once so you probably don't have to worry yet! It also still says incomplete items outstanding in my portal and I never got a confirmation of my application so it doesn't necessarily mean they didn't receive all your documents.
  5. I applied super last minute last year so overall I didn't put as much effort into my letter of intent and had references that didn't know me as well. I also wrote my thesis in the meantime so that gave me good research experience and then I did a bit of volunteering in the fall.
  6. They didn't say anything about any of that in the acceptance email, but I got rejected last year and they said then that there was over 500 applications for 39 spots in both the SLP and AUD programs. But it sounds like Dalhousie is a little all over the place with acceptances, so there might be hope for you still! I only applied for SLP.
  7. I'm also not a Nova Scotia resident and non-thesis track
  8. I only got a confirmation email after I submitted the online part and paid the admissions fee, but not after I emailed my letter of intent and transcripts. And the online application portal still says incomplete items outstanding and they never indicated that they received any of my documents.
  9. To be honest I don't really know what my GPA is because I applied with an international transcript (BA in Linguistics). I didn't get accepted at McMaster (and they refused to tell me what my converted GPA was) but each school could have also evaluated my grades differently so who knows really. I wrote a thesis on language in ASD and had my supervisor and another professor I had classes with and worked with on my thesis as my references so I think they were pretty strong references. I had very minimal SLP-specific volunteering in the fall but also volunteered for years at regular summer camps. Overall I didn't feel like my application was super competitive compared to some people I've seen on here so I'm surprised but excited to have been accepted!
  10. Me too!! I'm so surprised they sent out letters so early!
  11. I just double checked on their website and it says this: "First, GPA will be primarily restricted to an entrance requirement. Students will need to meet the minimum GPA of 3.3 on most 4-point grading systems ( or B+ on most letter grading systems)." I guess it just says primarily restricted to an entrance requirement so maybe they'll still look at our grades but not weigh it too heavily or something
  12. I think for UofA though they're just looking at GPA to make sure it's above the minimum 3.3 but then after that it's not a deciding factor in admissions
