  1. I just declined the GWU last week, hopefully the funding would be yours (we may not at exactly the same program though, hooooope you can get it soon!). But the information I can share is that the funding for phd in GWU is 20k and if working as TA we can get another 10k. Hope this data would help you decide.
  2. May I ask if there is any update on your part? I still didn't get the funding but the PI reached out to me and said the schoolwide funding would be decided later in March or early April.
  3. Oh my, so sorry I didn't see this until now. Thank you so much this is super helpful!! Fingers crossed for our funding!! <333
  4. Hi guys - May I ask if anyone got any updates on UCLA's funding? I received their offer over a month and still no updates in funding, and saw some latest offers in gradcafe commenting the committee is still in the process of figuring out the funding. I emailed the committee but no reply. Is anyone on the same page? I almost got scared if I was being excluded from funding consideration T T
  5. Well I think if your final goal is academic and you need a PhD degree anyway, maybe getting another MPH/MS is not as helpful as working as an RA this year and applying for PhD program next cycle. Especially if the tuition fee could be a burden, working as an RA can get some salary and also make you concentrate on research and publications. But also don't give up this early! As long as it's not 4.15, all waitlists and no responses still have a great chance!
  6. Yes I bet you're in very very front position. You'll get there!! Good luck!!
  7. Well yeah there were more international students than I expected. But all of them are currently in the US so they can come to the in person interview. But I also heard from some students saying they have friends outside the US and they were interviewed virtually. Well I don't think waitlist is a bad thing. There's still hope! There were only less than 10 EMD students yesterday.
  8. I think most of other programs were there at the same day! There were students in two epi tracks, biostat, env health, and health policy. Sorry for not saying which one I was in because I don't think I behaved very well in the interview and other candidates were all so amazing. I really don't want to think about it again ?
  9. Hmmm yeah I was in Yale's interview event yesterday and all candidates introduced ourselves but I didn't heard anyone is in SBS. But I do remembered one of your professors introduced the SBS track and seemed pretty optimistic of recruitement, maybe just your track has another admission route? Don't give up yet there's still a lot of opportunities!
  10. Hahahaha sounds like a plan let's sleep at the center of their campus together! Call for the floor next to you hahaha ? Anyhow I plan to send them an email ask what's this going on tomorrow morning.
  11. Ooh speaking of Yale's interview, may I ask did you receive specific arrangement (like hotel or something) yet? I'm freaking out they told me it would be released this week but it's already the end of Thursday there's still nothing.
  12. Hahaha that's true!! No interview - just taking the process to make our offers. We'll get there sister!
  13. Wow that is really competitive... I'm sorry to hear that. I bet you'll be accepted by another program that fits you better! Fingers crossed! I'm not for epi and I haven't heard anything yet. But considering I'm an international student so that funding could be a big trouble for them... I think it's better for me to take this silence as a pre-rejection ?
  14. Hello, thank you for sharing this! May I ask did U of Washington have interviews? I'm in another track though, I haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm a little bit scared T_T
