  1. I think at this point it is possible some people have been given an informal heads up (though many in the past have been accepted without any heads up). Some submissions are clearly fake and are actually brazenly winking at us. Total kids! I think it's either 1) Many fake submissions + some true, but sloppy submissions and 2) everything is fake. Let us not jump the gun yet, some people have done some great work on this new thread: Stay strong! We can get through this together!
  2. Final, final thing: check out this guy's thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/gradadmissions/comments/10a41fv/eebioebiosciences_phd_programs/ Seems legit since he actually got an interview from the super prestigious Caltech, UCLA, and UT Austin (he was accepted). If anyone is going to be accepted by MIT, it's defo this guy. He also has updates for MIT and he too as of right now has heard nothing from MIT. Just another thing for you to track if you're anxious! Hopefully all of this helps ^^
  3. Final thing (I could be totally wrong btw): this guy himself from MIT estimates from MIT's data that the yearly graduate admit to EECS at MIT is likely larger than 100 (according to MIT's own website, there are currently 700 PhD students in EECS - HUGE!): https://www.quora.com/How-many-PhD-students-do-Stanford-EE-MIT-EECS-and-Berkeley-EECS-admit-each-year-respectively As it currently stands, I only see 2 "alleged" admissions to MIT EECS and one defo BS MIT EECS rejection. Given that EECS is super popular, there should be much more response than that by now. If we look just a few days ago, there are much more admissions for Material Science, which I assume is a less popular program than EECS. The current numbers just look weird to me ^^
  4. If anyone gets an admit, please be a kind soul and provide more details to prove that an official and legit acceptance has been issued!
  5. Let's face it, most of us will get a reject, but at least we were brave enough to give it a try and suffer here around GradCafe! That takes guts. I'm so proud of us. Anyways, given that the RoundUp this year is irregular in how early it was, I thought I would do some more snooping around and it seems like not all hope is lost (also apparently there are lost of BS GradCafe submission. I mean I could right now pretend I got an admit even though I didn't):
