PhD in Physical Chemistry Accepted: Emory, UC Santa Barbara, Lehigh Rejected: UMaryland Waiting: Virginia Tech and North Carolina State University Is it weird when I heard from the top schools before the average ones? My GPA was 3.1 when I applied so I didn't think I had a good shot for UCSB but I'm so happy.

I'm not sure.... I heard it from a group of friend that we're in, not directly from him. He applied for Rutgers New Brunwicks tho

I received email from UCSB committee before Christmas - PhD in Chemistry

Received an offer from Emory and UC Santa Barbara (PhD in Chem) ? (2 out of 4 of the schools I applied) However, UCSB hasn't sent out the official letter yet, but the committee reached out to me to say congratulations. Has anyone been in the same issue with UCSB?

I received offer from Emory right before Christmas.
