  1. For students in the part-time online (regular track) MSW program at Wilfrid Laurier University, fall ‘24 - I’ve created a FB group. Search: Laurier MSW Fall 2024, Part-Time Online
  2. I’ve seen 2 PT non-BSW acceptances and 2 PT advanced standing acceptances for WLU. I am still waiting, impatiently…
  3. Generally, it’s not until the end of May. Last year, they were delayed and we didn’t hear back until mid-June.
  4. Got my rejection this AM at 10:20 EST -> MSW PT, non-BSW For reference; I have a diploma in SSW, BA in psychology + 15,000 combined hours of volunteer and work experience. I have worked for two large-scale employers; Alberta Health, and CMHA, and I am now working as a therapist within a private practice. Best of luck to EVERYONE! My fingers are crossed for you!
  5. Wow! I'm surprised no rejections have gone out, that could possibly give us some closure as well. It's a total tease, but so exciting for those accepted - it's a huge accomplishment.
  6. I applied via the same schedule - have not heard anything. So frustrating
  7. Decisions for WLU, PT-MSW, (non-BSW) are now set to come out beginning of June - I received an e-mail back today.
  8. It's a rough wait... I check 100x a day 😆
  9. WLU APPLICANTS: Anyone in advanced standing or regular track for non-BSW part-time hear anything yet? I am learning that I am not a patient person.. Lol!
  10. I can still see mine, I applied for PT, non-BSW.
  11. I also have not heard anything and I've been unable to get on to LORIS.
  12. Has anyone's admission application on LORIS (WLU, MSW) disappeared? 😶
  13. Thank you so much, likewise!!! I hope you are just having some imposter syndrome and it is in fact, as good as I believe it could be! Best of luck! The waiting part is the worst... :-)
  14. Hi Dana-, thanks for the kind words. Yes, my SSW diploma has helped, I'm a registered SSW. That being said, prior to registration, I was a case-manager and crisis counsellor with CMHA (ACTT, assertive community treatment team), I got my foundational experience there and then I moved to Alberta where I was hired on as an Addictions Counsellor with their health governing body, at the time they did not require registration. I'm currently a therapist under supervision, I'm employed under my title as a RSSW, without supervision by a MSW-level therapist, I would be unable to practice in this role. Unfortunately, both of these roles have required that I be registered with OCSWSSW. Hope that's helpful! All the best with your application!! I used MSW Helper (she's on this thread), and it was SO supportive.
  15. Hello! Anybody else apply for WLU, MSW, non-BSW, online part-time program, September 2023 start? This is my THIRD time applying! My grades are not stellar, I think I have an 78% average over last two years. However, this time I have 15,000 hours of experience and over 5000 of which are clinical (addictions counsellor, mental health counsellor, and now a therapist within a private practice). I have my diploma in Social Service Work and my BA in Psychology (really wish I had done the BSW....). I wish they didn't make us wait so long ? Good luck everyone!
