Yes, there's no reason why the scholarship results for early action candidates shouldn't come out today - although it's getting past business hours in Geneva and still no sign. Are they releasing the scholarship decision for all candidates at the same time? Did anyone try to contact them today?
Possibly. I inquired with them about the possibility of getting a cheaper unit, but they told me they had nothing left (only studio apartments) for now. They also said that there would be another round of applications, beginning soon. I suppose that many units are already taken by current students. On the plus side, the student housing office is very quick to answer any questions.
I got a single room with private bathroom for CHF 10,200 (one year lease from Sep 1st). That makes it CHF 850 a month. No information on floor or whether it is a 2 or 4 person apartment. They are asking for a CHF 1000 deposit. I would like to wait about the scholarship results before accepting, though. I also wonder how they choose flatmates...
Now they sent some more details about the type of unit & price. One concern: the offer says that they require the deposit by March 15... but aren't we getting scholarship decisions by late March?
You're right, they've changed the timeline for housing this year (which does make sense, after all).
How do you all feel about the program? I am almost certain of attending and it was my top choice, mainly because of the Geneva location.
Hey all. I got in (early admission) for the MDev program. From what I heard, they should send info on student housing sometime this week. I will definitely try Picciotto (currently living in South America - that might help) but scholarship decisions will be key before making any decisions.
Hi,
I got in for Development Studies (early admission) and am pretty sure I will be attending. Anyone in the same situation?
Also, I recently got an email from IHEID about financial aid, asking me "What personal financial contribution would you be able to make to pay the tuition fees of your programme?"
Is this a good sign? Or would everyone get this message?
Thanks
