  1. oooh! awesome, thanks so much for explaining the process and letting me know 🙏 much appreciated
  2. thanks so much!! sorry you weren't able to get more funding from saic though, heres hoping the other two schools go great! 💓 for funding, btw are people referring to the government loans fafsa gives or also more tuition remission? (sorry if these are super obvious questions im just quite confused )
  3. how do people generally negotiate funding? from what i am aware, there can be an offer from the school of a partial tuition remission or a small scholarship (ex. $10k) and then separate to that, there is the financial aid package offered based on your fafsa that comes later right. so usually do students negotiate the scholarship/tuition remission with their department or are they negotiating the financial aid package offered based on the fafsa?
  4. oh wow! just reading this is making me anxious just having to wait for a phone call... i wish all schools just sent out emails at the same time accepted/rejected/waitlisted :(( and off topic but what ucla did to everyone was totally not cool.. can't believe they didn't even email applicants telling them to check the status at least anyways thank you so much seriously that means a lot!! i will for sure~ and you got this !
  5. good luck! i know you've been stressing so i hope all goes well and they let you know ASAP! so its either a phone call within the next two weeks if accepted or an email if rejected right (also in the next two weeks)? i hope they let people know sooner next year i cant imagine this anxiety going through all of march for me next year
  6. no worries i understand! can i at least ask if your interview went well?
  7. best of luck to you! what specialization did you apply for at columbia?
  8. wow huge congrats to yale! columbia pretty much let you know in the interview then that you were pretty much accepted right? your work must be amazing! srsly crazy!! i didn't even know columbia offered fully funded scholarships
  9. lololol im dying!! that would be pretty messed up okay whew thank goodness most schools don't do that! but aww, you got this this year! i send good vibrations and im sure good news will be arriving to you soon 💓 any case, really sending the best vibes to everyone on here waiting for their emails.. kind of terrifying since acceptances are sent via email too right? or are they by phone call? ... im rlly not looking forward to the anxiety i'll get in the future of opening the acceptance/rejection email next year
  10. sorry kinda off topic but do rejection letters for grad school come in the mail or just via email? jw how the whole process goes for grad schools
  11. thank you so much for sharing! i hope your interview went amazing that is interesting! what did they mean by "stakes of your work" ? excuse my english, as it is not my first language but by "stakes of your work" are they asking you the risks of your work?
  12. hi all, i'm so glad i found this forum i am planning on applying next year and hearing everyone's experiences has been very helpful. congratulations to everyone who has gotten accepted, and hang in there for anyone else waiting for interviews/interview requests. my first choice school is columbia and i plan on applying next year. i know this is very early on to ask the 2023 freakout forum but i'm worried i'll forget to ask this again next year so while i'm on here, has anyone had an interview with columbia? if so, can i ask please ask what kind of questions they asked and the general process of how interviews / interview requests / acceptances go?
