I was also accepted to UNC this evening! With no interview though. I was sort of expecting it, because a professor with similar interest viewed my LinkedIn recently lol.
I didn't get any info on which track or mentor I was accepted to or funding yet. DM me if you wanna connect
Yup, it's so rude. Emory sent me an interview invite for 1 specific date, 8 hours long, with not even a 15-minute break. It's so rude I'm truly considering not attending because of how poorly that reflects on a program. I just can't imagine how they treat their students, it's a major red flag.
I applied to Columbia Epi this year (my interests in at the intersection of EHS and environmental epi) but last year I applied to EHS. I haven't heard anything this year, but I attended the in-person interview day and the invites went out later than most other programs, around the week of 01/20.
No, I did not! Have you heard anything? I've seen results saying people had received interview invites. I applied to both. I interviewed at Harvard last year and was rejected, so I guess their decision stands firm π€·ββοΈ
Hey everyone! Looking for some advice.
I just got an accepted to a PhD in Epidemiology! The work at this school seems really exciting and my potential PI is very nice. I'm elated to have received such an early acceptance. Although-they want a $500 deposit by end of January. This is way too soon and a lot of money. I will have likely not have a decision from any other schools at this point. Does anybody know how to handle this? Would asking for an extension work? I could risk it and pay the money- but if I then decide to decline I am leading on my PI and wasting a spot for a different candidate and I'd hate to do that. Any advice?
