Hi everyone! I'm glad to find this thread and want to share the news I got. I'm doing a gap year after college and I applied to both MAs and PHDs--mostly in EALC but also some Comp Lit. So far I got MA offers from UPenn, UChicago (MAPH), UMichigan (MIRS), UIUC and Rutgers. Aside from that, I got rejections from Berkeley, Stanford, Princeton, Dartmouth (CL), Yale, and Harvard's MA and PHD rejections from UChicago, UMichigan, UPenn and Duke. I also applied to PHD programs at Columbia (which is my dream school) and UCLA (not EALC but CompLit) as well as MAs at NYU, Duke and Penn State. I haven't heard from any of them. (And yes, I applied to nearly 20 programs; the number is directly proportional to my anxiety.) Good luck to us all!
