  1. Movement on the McMaster waitlist. I declined the offer but hopefully this means good news for one of you!
  2. Little late, but for the sake of future applicants browsing this channel (like I did the last 6-7 months): UofT MPH epi sent out acceptances on June 13th (3:20 pm ish - I got my acceptance in this round!) and June 27th. I saw an epi rejection go out on June 21st as well.
  3. Received an unofficial acceptance letter to Guelph MPH!
  4. I’ve only had my status updated on ozone. I did get an email a couple days later saying there was an update on my ozone though. So it seems like there is a delay and ozone is updated first. Same thing happened for another uOttawa program I got an offer from
  5. A friend of mine is still waiting to hear back. I’ve seen people get acceptances, waitlisted and rejections from uOttawa so I’m not really sure how they’re doing it
  6. Anyone know the uOttawa MPH stats? How many seats and how many applications they usually get? (think it's 25 seats but that could be outdated information)
  7. Of course! I applied to the public health practice stream of the MPH+ (French). I'm just finishing up my biomedical undergrad, and my GPA when I applied was 9.50/10 (can't remember what that is on the 4 scale lol). I also got an A+ in both stats courses I included on the letter of intent. My goal is to pursue a career in public health focused on developing and evaluating disease prevention measures. Overall, I want to get more familiar with preventive medicine and implementation of these strategies. I also noted in my letter that I was really excited about studying in Ottawa in general because of its location in the capital and the opportunities that could offer. Not to mention the language stream is a huge plus. I have experience as a research assistant at an occupational health research center and in a molecular biology lab. I also have management experience (nothing related to public health though) and have worked as a teaching assistant. On the volunteer side, I helped develop a digital literacy program during the pandemic, organize seminars for students to learn more about health risks in the workplace, amongst other volunteer experiences. If I missed anything or if you have more questions, feel free to reach out again!
  8. Just got accepted to uOttawa MPH!
  9. Hey, congratulations! Do you mind sharing your stats?
  10. So within the last hour, mine has changed to say my file is complete. Scary stuff
  11. Which program? UoA or uOttawa?
  12. Hmm, interesting. I had one reference already submitted about two weeks before, but my second got theirs in on the day it was due lol. Like supervisor like student.
  13. Interesting, mine still says it has the preliminary documents. I submitted it a week after you, though.
  14. Mine still says under review... I did submit mine the day before it was due though so I could be at the bottom of the pile lol
  15. Waitlisted at McMaster. Check your spam, mine was in there! Also, my portal has not changed, it says under review
